Carpet stains can be difficult for the novice carpet cleaner. The ability to remove stains really separates a true professional carpet cleaner from the rest. Most stains can be removed if done properly. There are a few concerns when removing carpet stains. Knowing the type of stain is very important to successful stain removal. The composition of the carpet affects the stain removal process as well.

Example: We have a nylon carpet with a red drink stain. We can remove the stain but there is a high risk of removing the carpet dye as well due to the process needed to remove the stain. This is actually a great illustration of why many carpet cleaners will say they cannot remove this stain. Here at Stearns Cleaning, we let the client make that decision. If there is risk of color loss in the stain removal process we will inform you ahead of time and let you know your options. In this case, we could remove the stain and offer to dye the spot if it got bleached out from the stain removal.
