Carpet Care Tips
Carpet cleaning tips and recommendations from the Carpet and Rug Institute (CRI). The CRI recommends having your carpet and rugs cleaned before they begin to show soil.
Allowing Carpet and Rugs to become excessively soiled will make cleaning more difficult and will shorten the life of your carpet and rugs.Preventative Maintenance Tips From The CRI

- Place mats in entry ways to capture soils from outside.
- Properly Act quickly to Spills
- Properly Act quickly to mud, grease and grime when it is tracked in from outside.
Spot Removal Tips From The CRI
- The quicker you act,the better. The longer a spot stays on a carpet the harder it is to remove.
- Always blot - Never Scrub - with a clean, white, dry absorbent cloth, Scrubbing can damage the carpet fibers.
- Always work from the outer edge in towards the center of the spot to avoid spreading it.
- *The CRI Recommends that Carpet and Rugs be dry or wet extraction cleaned a minimum of every 12 to 18 months and more often where there is heavy traffic, or Kids and pets. You should check with the Manufacture of your carpet for their recommendations and warranty info.
