Carpet Streching - If you see bubbles or ripples in your carpet most likely what you need is to have your carpet re-streched. In order to properly restrech the carpet the room should be empty. YES EMPTY. In some cases we can get the ripples out without removing everything but we cannot guarantee they will not come back. When we restrech your carpet we disingage it from the tack strips that holds it in place all the way around the room. We use a power strecher NOT JUST THE KNEE KICKER to reinstall your carpet. Berber Carpet Repair- Is your berber carpet unraveling? Is there snags? There are many different causes for Berber carpet damage. Unraveling of your berber carpet, or snags in your Berber or loop carpet caused from pets, Vacuum cleaners and more can be a seriouse issue. to the proper level. Now we are ready to restore the missing Color to
Your Bleach Spot. This part of the job is an art. We add back to your
carpet whatever colors were bleached out.
Example: We have a brown carpet that bleach was spilled on. The Bleach
would most likely remove the colors red and blue from the brown and
leave a yellow bleach spot. With a yellow bleach spot we carefully add
back the missing amount of blue and Red Carpet Dye that is missing.

Stain Removal
Carpet stains can be deficult for the uneducated or even a novice carpet cleaner. The abuility to remove stains really seperates a true professional carpet cleaner from the rest. Most stains can be removed if done properly. There are a few concerns when removing carpet stains. knowing what the stain is, is very important to succesful stain removal. The type of carpet effects the stain removal preocess as well. Example: We have a nylon carpet with a red drink stain. We can remove the stain but there is a high risk of removing the carpet dye as well due to the process need to remove the stain. This is actually a great example to why many carpet cleaners will say they can not remove this stain. Here at Stearns Cleaning we let the client make that decision. If there is risk of color loss in the stain removal process we will inform you ahead of time and let you know your options. In this case we could remove the stain and offer to dye the spot if it got bleached out from the stain removal.

The main method we use is Steam Cleaning (Truck Mounted Hot Water
Extraction). Hot water extraction is the method recommended for deep
cleaning of carpet by most major carpet mills and manufactures such
as Shaw Industries.

PET STAINS AND PET ODOR REMOVAL
There is a big misunderstanding about how to clean up a pet stain. When a pet accident first happens is the best time to remove the spot. Urine is acidic when it first is deposited but the longer it stays in the carpet and dries it turns alkaline. This chemical reaction can effect the color in the carpet.. The urine in the carpet as it dries can permanently change the dye structure of the carpet and bleach the carpets color out. In many cases when the color is effected we can fix it by dyeing the spot once we remove the urine contaminents.
Do It Yourself Pet Stain Removal!
First off we are pet owners. We have a wonderful chocolate lab Named Daisy.
Daisy is very well trained but accidents do still happen from time to time. We have traininig in carpet cleaninig and pet stains and odor removal but we have real life experience as well and that make all the difference.
The best way to remove pet stains caused by urine is a small shop vac. It is our opinion that putting towells on the floor and stepping on it pushes the the urine into the pad and makes the urine harder to remove.
You should remove the pet accident as soon as it happens. Dont let pet stains sit in the carpet. The longer the urine is in the carpet the harder it is to remove.
Step 1. Use a small Shop Vac to remove as much of the urine from the carpet as possible.
Step 2. Spray or pour Bac Out by BioKleen onto the pet spot on the carpet.(Test the solution in a hidden area of the carpet first) Bac out is the best product I have used for urine stains and odors. We use bac out to remove pet stains.
Step 3. Let solution sit for 5 minutes
Step 4. Vacuum the pet spot again with shop vac and allow to dry.
Pet Stain Accidents Urine Odors will not come out with a normal cleaning. To remove Urine Odor we have to use a special enzyme based product made for urine odors. Some pet odor and stains come out easily and can be done for as little as an extra $20 with your regular cleaning. Others are more difficult and we have to pull back the carpet, treat the sub floor, replace the padding, and clean the carpet. There are many factors to consider when dealing with pet stains and pet odors, such as size of your pet, age of problem, frequency of accident. Etc.
